Best tripod that I've owned, including gitzos. Very happy with this product.

Would be helpful to have some sort of accessories pouch that attaches to one of the tripod base threaded holes. The pouch would hold the spikes and wrench when not in use. Something like the DYI I have tried to make per this image.

Without question one of the best purchases I have made in my entire camera ecosystem.

Lightweight, easy to use & adjust. Super easy to take apart, clean, and put back together. Very stable, feels rock solid on the ground, haven’t needed to use the INCLUDED spikes yet it’s so solid.

Build quality is EXCELLENT! Feels bomb proof. Very impressed with the attention to details and the actual construction of the tripod. Smooth slide action on the legs. Twist locks work every time and feel oversized which is perfect actually. Very well built with solid, snap lock releases. Can’t stress these points enough.

Speaking of, nice touch to not only include spikes with the purchase price, but to also integrate an attached tow hook for hanging weight under the base plate bowl. Nice example of forward thinking by FLM.

I feel like I did my homework for a few months on tripods and for what I use it for (landscape photography, currently living in the front range of Colorado), this is my “dream tripod set up” and the price point was very competitive.

I’m shooting with the Fuji XT-3 and while some may say this tripod is too big for a mirrorless camera system I say bigger is better. More stable and more prepared for larger camera systems down the road. Besides, the light weight negates any concern of it not being a “travel tripod” or a “hiking/mountaineering” tripod. I take it on hour-long hikes up serious elevation to get to my favorite spots and the size & weight does not bother me.

Yes, it’s bigger than popular, highly marketed carbon fiber tripods from many other manufacturers, which is exactly why I bought it. That philosophy may not align with everyone, however it’s one of the main reasons (along with price point) for why I chose this model and FLM in particular.

I’ve used it several times in the last few weeks in snow, mud, rock ledges, high winds, and freezing cold and it has been a game changer for me personally. Money very well spent!

Thank you FLM for living up to the reviews, this is an awesome tripod that I will have and use for decades to come.

After a long debate between this and the pro media gear this was the one I went with. I am upgrading from a 6 year old manfrotto 190cxpro3 and WOW is this thing beefy (in a good way)
The upper leg of the Manfrotto is smaller than the lowest on the FLM and the height is about 2 feet taller than my old tripod, very helpful when shooting on slope/hillside locations to keep the camera at eye level.
Build quality looks great but I have not yet used it in the field to confirm any of this.
On a side note, within a few minutes of my online order I got an email from Jason (an FLM rep) and he stated that he was in the Portland OR metro area (as am I) and offered to meet to hand deliver it. That is customer service that you dont get everyday.
I look forward to many years of shooting with this new tripod
    Thanks again Jason

Seen FLM tripods recommended by several landscape photographers. Exceeds expectations. I like it better than more expensive tripods I've tried. Light and ratchets and leg locks are very solid. Thanks.

I would give it a 4.9 because I really love this tripod. The quality is great. I think an improvement could be made on the standard fixed plate that covers the bowl. Using the screws to hold it down means I have to keep track of a hex key and it takes a while. It would be great if there was an option for the standard base to be secured with the grip from the half ball. I could imagine multiple base options that all tighten down with that handle. I'd definitely buy another base so that I wouldn't have to worry about the hex key.

Excellent tripod, very well made.. I do mostly landscape photography and wildlife.. I needed tough tripod that was light enough to pack around...but durable enough to get those crisp shots..FLM customer experience is awesome I ordered my tripod online and got it a couple days later.. Great customer communication on shipment details and arrival time..

I'm looking forward to future purchases from FLM! Oh before I forget ,this was the best value for this type of Tripod!

I have owned one for a year now and am still amazed with the build quality, weight, and price. It cannot be beat for the money period. I just recently bought a CP30 to add to my gear.

    Works as advertised, smooth, easy.

Great build quality. Easy to use. You can see and feel the quality right away. For the price this is far superior to spending twice as much on certain name brand tripods. Why pay extra for a name? Phenomenal customer service. I called in late on a Friday to get one over nighted for an impromptu trip. Call back came less than 30 minute later. I ordered and they had it out the door in less than an hour so it could arrive by Monday. FLM has my future business.

This tripod seems to be perfect for me. I have used it on one night astro shoot and it worked excellently. The leg locks work great, the feet are very good for stability and the ratcheting mechanisms for spreading the legs is a nice feature. The tripod is stable in 10 mph to 20 mph winds by a lake atop a tall dam.

Excellent tripod. Well built, light, great height. I even like the metal knobs to adjust the columns. Paired with a 47GX ball head makes for a reliable combo you can take anywhere. Glad I discovered FLM when upgrading my set up.
