Product Overview

The FLM CB-58 Ball Head features a 58 mm aluminum centerball which can support loads up to 132.3 lbs, 360° panning, and friction memory lock. Our largest ball head, for the creators that need the strongest and most rugged equipment.

This FLM CB-58 Ball head is simple, elegant and traditional in appearance with a two-tone finish and features a large easy-grip knob for ball control, and an additional control knob for friction control. In addition, the head features a calibrated panning base, with independent panning lock.

This version also features PTF™ (Patented Tilt Function) which allows the user to lock the rotation and left and right tilt of the ball so it can only tilt up and down.

The FTR model includes the patented Tilt-Lock function and adds the 15° rotation knob. When engaged, the smooth panning base will click every 15° for easy panorama shots. The panning base can also be locked in place by pressing in on the 15° stop button at position 0 allowing you to tighten the ball head onto or remove it from the tripod quickly.

Manufactured in Germany to exacting standards, each component is milled from a solid block of aluminum and computer machined to tolerances within .01mm. Each FLM Center ball series ball head is individually tested for assured smooth movement and lockdown strength.

Recommended Tripods : CP-30, CP-34 & CP-38

I have used many ball heads in hope they would support my 4x5 setup. All of them, regardless of price, brand or country of origin (Arca Swiss, RRS, Feisol, Novoflex etc.) have been a disappointment. This FLM CB 58 FTR is just amazing! It is the only one that has zero creep at any angle, allows for real tension setting and remains smooth regardless of weight thrown at it. The camera I am using it with is very heavy (40 ponds plus), and uses a Rencay scanning back that requieres very long exposures for high magnification macro work, so stability is absolutely essential. This is the only ball head I have owned that gives me that and more. Absolutely love it!
